Effortless, a book by Greg McKeown. Get Effortless Books in several format like PDF, EPUB, Mobi. Download Effortless books, NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • A Times (UK) Best Book of the Year • From the author of the million-copy-selling Essentialism comes an empowering guide to achieving your goals. It all starts with a simple principle: Not everything has to be so hard. “In a world beset by burnout, Greg McKeown’s work is essential.”—Daniel H. Pink, author of When, Drive, and To Sell Is Human “At a time when fear, uncertainty, and our ever-growing list of responsibilities have come to feel like much too much to handle, Effortless couldn’t be timelier, or more necessary.”—Eve Rodsky, author of Fair Play Do you ever feel like: • You’re teetering right on the edge of burnout? • You want to make a higher contribution, but lack the energy? • You’re running faster but not moving closer to your goals? • Everything is so much harder than it used to be? As high achievers, we’ve been conditioned to believe that the path to success is paved with relentless work. That if we want to overachieve, we have to overexert, overthink, and overdo. That if we aren’t perpetually exhausted, we’re not doing enough. But lately, working hard is more exhausting than ever. And the more depleted we get, the more effort it takes to make progress. Stuck in an endless loop of “Zoom, eat, sleep, repeat,” we’re often working twice as hard to achieve half as much. Getting ahead doesn’t have to be as hard as we make it. No matter what challenges or obstacles we face, there is a better way: instead of pushing ourselves harder, we can find an easier path. Effortless offers actionable advice for making the most essential activities the easiest ones, so you can achieve the results you want, without burning out. Effortless teaches you how to: • Turn tedious tasks into enjoyable rituals • Prevent frustration by solving problems before they arise • Set a sustainable pace instead of powering through • Make one-time choices that eliminate many future decisions • Simplify your processes by removing unnecessary steps • Make relationships easier to maintain and manage • And much more The effortless way isn't the lazy way. It's the smart way. It may even be the only way. Not every hard thing in life can be made easy. But we can make it easier to do more of what matters most.

Effortless, a book by Bethany-Kris. Get Effortless Books in several format like PDF, EPUB, Mobi. Download Effortless books, Camilla Donati doesn’t do relationships—it’s just not her thing. She wants a fun time, not a long time. She might be exactly what Tommaso Rossi needs to make his vacation from the responsibilities as a Capo, a break worth taking. He didn’t expect to find a woman like her with a mind full of filth. She didn’t expect a man who would shatter all of her rules with only a grin. Chicago keeps calling Tommaso home, and further out of reach from the one thing he wants more than ever. Camilla’s restless heart keeps getting in the way even when it’s stuck between what is, and what could be. This should have been easy. It didn’t have to be messy. Falling in love is effortless. It’s people who make it hard.

Essentialism, a book by Greg McKeown. Get Essentialism Books in several format like PDF, EPUB, Mobi. Download Essentialism books, NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • More than one million copies sold! Essentialism isn’t about getting more done in less time. It’s about getting only the right things done. “A timely, essential read for anyone who feels overcommitted, overloaded, or overworked.”—Adam Grant Have you ever: • found yourself stretched too thin? • simultaneously felt overworked and underutilized? • felt busy but not productive? • felt like your time is constantly being hijacked by other people’s agendas? If you answered yes to any of these, the way out is the Way of the Essentialist. Essentialism is more than a time-management strategy or a productivity technique. It is a systematic discipline for discerning what is absolutely essential, then eliminating everything that is not, so we can make the highest possible contribution toward the things that really matter. By forcing us to apply more selective criteria for what is Essential, the disciplined pursuit of less empowers us to reclaim control of our own choices about where to spend our precious time and energy—instead of giving others the implicit permission to choose for us. Essentialism is not one more thing—it’s a whole new way of doing everything. It’s about doing less, but better, in every area of our lives. Essentialism is a movement whose time has come.

Effortless Action, a book by Edward Slingerland. Get Effortless Action Books in several format like PDF, EPUB, Mobi. Download Effortless Action books, This book presents a systematic account of the role of the personal spiritual ideal of wu-wei--literally "no doing," but better rendered as "effortless action"--in early Chinese thought. Edward Slingerland's analysis shows that wu-wei represents the most general of a set of conceptual metaphors having to do with a state of effortless ease and unself-consciousness. This concept of effortlessness, he contends, serves as a common ideal for both Daoist and Confucian thinkers. He also argues that this concept contains within itself a conceptual tension that motivates the development of early Chinese thought: the so-called "paradox of wu-wei," or the question of how one can consciously "try not to try." Methodologically, this book represents a preliminary attempt to apply the contemporary theory of conceptual metaphor to the study of early Chinese thought. Although the focus is upon early China, both the subject matter and methodology have wider implications. The subject of wu-wei is relevant to anyone interested in later East Asian religious thought or in the so-called "virtue-ethics" tradition in the West. Moreover, the technique of conceptual metaphor analysis--along with the principle of "embodied realism" upon which it is based--provides an exciting new theoretical framework and methodological tool for the study of comparative thought, comparative religion, intellectual history, and even the humanities in general. Part of the purpose of this work is thus to help introduce scholars in the humanities and social sciences to this methodology, and provide an example of how it may be applied to a particular sub-field.

Effortless Living, a book by Jason Gregory. Get Effortless Living Books in several format like PDF, EPUB, Mobi. Download Effortless Living books, A guide for achieving an enlightened mind through the art of non-doing • Details meditation practices, focused on stillness of the mind, along with Patanjali’s yoga methods to maintain a consciousness referred to as “being in the zone” • Builds on Taoist, Confucian, and Hindu principles along with scientific findings to support wu-wei--the art of non-doing, non-forcing--as a way of life • Explains how wu-wei practitioners cultivate intelligent spontaneity and effortless action to allow the natural harmony of the cosmos to prevail The practice of non-doing, non-forcing is an essential aspect of Taoism known as wu-wei. Attributed to the great sage Lao-tzu, the philosophy of wu-wei teaches you how to develop a natural state of consciousness not bound by thought or preconceived limitations. Experienced by the greatest artists, athletes, musicians, and writers, this heightened state of consciousness, referred to as “being in the zone,” is where intelligent spontaneity and effortless action flourish via a practice rooted in permitting the natural harmony of the cosmos to prevail. Merging Taoist philosophy, Hindu principles, and Confucianism along with scientific findings, Jason Gregory outlines the practice of wu-wei as a vehicle to realize our innate freedom, revealing that when we release our ego and allow life to unfold as it will, we align ourselves more closely with our goals and cultivate skill and mastery along the way. Equating “being in the zone” with a stillness of the mind, Gregory shares meditation practices coupled with yoga exercises from Patanjali that allow you to approach life with a mastery of acceptance, releasing deluded beliefs of how to achieve success that make your mind “sticky” and poised for conflict. The author shows how practicing wu-wei paradoxically empowers you to accomplish all that you desire by having no intention to do so, as well as allowing you to become receptive to nature’s blueprint for expressing beauty. Revealing wisdom utilized by renowned sages, artists, and athletes who have adapted “being in the zone” as a way of life, the author shows that wu-wei can yield a renewed sense of trust in many aspects of your daily life, making each day more effortless. As an avid wu-wei practitioner, he provides keen insight on how you, too, can experience the beauty of achieving an enlightened, effortless mind while reveling in the process of life’s unfolding.

At twenty-two, she sets off to do just that. Walking out on her pastor husband and deeply evangelical parents, she leaves behind her small-town, small-time life and gets on a bus to Los Angeles. Nine years later, Birdie's life in Hollywood is far from golden, and nothing in the intervening years—the brutal auditions, the tawdry commercials—has brought her any closer to the transformation she craves. Caught between success and failure, haunted by guilt about a tragedy in her long-forsaken family, Birdie is at the brink of collapse when she meets Lewis, a beautiful but naïve young actor with his own troubled history, whose self-destructive impulses run dangerously parallel to her own. When her big chance finally comes, Birdie must reconcile the wide-eyed girl she once was with the jaded starlet she has become and try to find herself and her future somewhere in between. Everything Lovely, Effortless, Safe is the story of a young woman's struggle to make her own way in the Technicolor land of make-believe.

Get The Effortless Sleep Method: The Incredible New Cure for Insomnia and Chronic Sleep Problems Books in several format like PDF, EPUB, Mobi. Download The Effortless Sleep Method: The Incredible New Cure for Insomnia and Chronic Sleep Problems books, Review "Original, practical and very effective. This new approach to insomnia will change lives." -- Dr W Rosental, Consultant Psychiatrist and Addiction Specialist. Product Description To those who are longing for a good night's sleep To those addicted to sleeping pills To those who would give anything to get over their insomnia To those for whom 'nothing ever seems to work' To every person who has suffered the horror of chronic insomnia, to every insomniac everywhere... ...this is for you The Effortless Sleep Method is the book insomniacs all over the world have been waiting for, even those for whom 'nothing ever works'. This highly practical and hugely effective method offers a simple and permanent solution for long-term and new insomniacs alike. The Effortless Sleep Method gives you something no other sleep aid can - an entirely different way of looking at insomnia. The step-by-step insomnia recovery programme contained in this book doesn't just treat insomnia, it totally undermines it. This is not another dry as dust reference book written by a doctor, but a lively, empowering book which connects the sufferer intimately to one who has gone through the same pain. Many insomnia books follow a similar format: scientific information about sleep, a section on sleep hygiene and a set of relaxation techniques, all interspersed with various case studies. While in some cases this will be helpful in learning how to sleep better, for many, this will never be enough. The chronic insomniac can think his or her way around the sleep hygiene, will doubt the validity of the case studies and will fight the relaxation techniques. The chronic insomniac has been there, done that; the chronic insomniac has an answer for everything. This book is entirely different in its approach to insomnia. Yes, there are practical changes to make, but the real magic lies in the changes it will make to your thinking. Because of this, the approach in the book is not only useful in treating insomnia; once mastered, the principles can be extended into other areas of your life. What will you get from The Effortless Sleep Method? - You will discover a truly permanent solution to chronic insomnia, even if you have suffered for decades - You may end up sleeping better that you have ever done, - Discover the one simple rule which can instantly improve your sleep - Learn the secret most doctors won't tell you - You will finally understand why 'nothing seems to work', no matter how many remedies and sleep aids you try - Learn the astonishing and unexpected ways in which you may be sabotaging your own recovery with everyday talk and activities - Hear a new and surprising take on sleep restriction therapy, which explains why it may not have worked for you - You will feel empowered, optimistic, acquire a positive outlook and feel more in control of your life in general The ability to sleep soundly, naturally and unaided is the desire of every chronic insomniac. This book will guide you to rediscovering your innate ability to sleep without pills, potions or external sleep aids. When The Effortless Sleep Method is followed properly, the results can be incredible. Many people report sleeping better than they have ever done. Now, anyone really can have perfect sleep.

Some even feel as though they age faster and less gracefully than their male counterparts. While there is ample discussion in the medical community about the effects of estrogen loss, more than ninety percent of women over age forty-five suffer from low testosterone levels. Dr. Tami Meraglia wants women to know that a healthy dose of testosterone can help you slim down, improve your moods, lower your risk for cardiac disease, increase energy and libido, prevent osteoporosis, enhance skin tone and texture, and possibly even prevent cognitive decline. In The Hormone Secret, Dr. Tami offers an evidence-based thirty-day plan to restore testosterone and balance the relative levels of other hormones, based on lifestyle modifications such as supplements and nutritional adjustments. She also offers a Mediterranean diet–based meal plan and low-impact exercise ideas that will immediately boost your energy. The Hormone Secret is an indispensable guide to taking back control of your hormones and improving your vitality for a strong—and long—life.

When we learn to quiet the monkey mind with meditation practices, we are able to go beyond the linear thinking of the upper brain and connect to the multidimensional thinking of supreme consciousness in the heart center. In Living in the Tao, Master Mantak Chia and William Wei present techniques to help us learn to move beyond the limits of time and space to connect with the universal truth within--without striving. Living in the Tao is effortless. Just as a small seed grows into a mighty tree with a little water and a little sunshine every day, a few minutes of Taoist practice each day can transform your life into one of peace and joy.
